Tiaras originally come from a long way back and were used originally by kings and emperors as a type of crown. In the Assyrians age during 934 BC a tiara consisted of two horns and a peak in the middle, which acted as a symbol of authority.
Jewels were not so prominent in this age and feathers were used. However as times have changed and tiaras had become more widely used in the 1600′s during celebrations, jewels were more commonplace.
Some of the most beautiful headpieces had a nice balance of glimmering jewels and nice ribbons and lace. It soon changed to important ladies wearing tiaras also.
